As he mastered surfing, Kasjarod realized he could bridge two worlds - sharing his beloved surf culture with visitors while preserving and celebrating Lombok's rich Sasak traditions. He now trains friends and family members in English and cultural tourism, creating opportunities for his entire community.
Today, many of his former students stay in touch years later, considering him not just an instructor but a lifelong friend who opened their eyes to a different way of seeing the ocean and Indonesian culture.
